Sept 2023 | Monthly Edition No. 3
Day’s end at the Badlands
As I was nearing the end of a 28-day road trip that took me to some of America’s most remote and wild places I was looking forward to returning home to my family. But I had a few last images to create at Badlands National Park. It’s interesting how one’s outlook shapes the images that are made. The end of a journey was near and that sentiment is echoed in this photograph that showcases the day’s end…

…I don’t know when I’ll be able to return to Badlands. But when I do the images I create there will certainly be an extension of this experience. When you’re open to new ideas and new connections the sky is literally the limit. And that’s what this image represents for me. The end of one day, but also, the promise of things yet discovered and yet to be experienced.
